Orthopedic and Fracture Clinic

orthopedic and fracture clinic, orthopedic trauma specialist, stress fracture treatment

Orthopedic trauma is a specialty in orthopedics that focuses on treating injuries caused by accidents or serious impacts. These injuries can affect bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Doctors in this field are often called fracture specialists.

While many orthopedic surgeons can treat common fractures, some patients need more specialized care. This includes people with:

  • Multiple broken bones
  • Open (compound) fractures, where the bone breaks through the skin
  • Fractures that became infected
  • Bones that healed incorrectly

Our Fracture and Orthopedic Trauma team also supports the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Orthopedic Trauma Program. This program is a Level II Trauma Center, which means it is equipped to handle serious injuries. It is the only center in the region with specially trained orthopedic trauma surgeons available 24/7.

This team treats both simple and complex fractures and dislocations, using both surgical and non-surgical methods. Their goal is to provide complete, high-quality care for patients with serious injuries.

Our trauma surgeons also work closely with other specialists, including experts in foot and ankle care, hand surgery, spine care, sports medicine, and joint replacement. They may work together to manage a patient’s care. They also partner with emergency doctors and general trauma surgeons to treat patients right after an injury.
