Community Outreach

Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute is dedicated to raising awareness about cancer in our communities. Each year, we host conferences for both the public and healthcare professionals. These events share the latest information on cancer prevention, treatment, and supportive therapies.

We also focus on the importance of early detection. Our mobile health screening van travels across southwestern Idaho and eastern Oregon to provide screenings. Each year, we hold many health events where people can be checked for breast and skin cancer.

In addition, Saint Alphonsus partners with other healthcare organizations to support community cancer events. These include the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. These events help raise money for local programs that support cancer awareness, early detection, treatment, and research.

We also work with local rodeos, such as Stampede for the Cure, CNR Power of Pink and the Owyhee County Rodeo. At these events, we raise awareness about breast cancer and offer on-site screenings that can help save lives.
