- Joint pain and swelling (ages 5 and older)
- Mild headaches (ages 18 and older)
- Minor sports and activity-related injuries (ages 18 and older)
- Minor stomach problems (ages 12 and older)
- Painful urination (ages 18 and older)
- Skin and nail problems (all ages)

Care on Demand lets you see a healthcare provider from home for minor illnesses and injuries. No appointment is needed. Simply log in to MyChart and select Care on Demand. Need an account? Sign up for MyChart.
A Care on Demand visit is a video appointment with a healthcare provider. You can use a smartphone, tablet, or computer to connect from home or another private location.
The experience is similar to visiting a clinic, except the appointment takes place by video. You can:
- Talk about your symptoms
- Ask questions
- Discuss treatment options
- Get prescriptions when appropriate
- Review or adjust medications
If additional care is needed, the provider may recommend an in-person visit.
The cost is usually similar to an office visit. Your co-pay, co-insurance, and deductible may apply. After your insurance is billed, you may receive a bill from Saint Alphonsus. Contact your insurance company for coverage information.
Please have:
- A photo ID
- Your insurance card(s)
- A list of your current medications or medication bottles
Your video visit is secure and encrypted to help protect your personal information. Visits are not recorded and follow the same privacy standards as in-person appointments.
- MyChart Account - You must have an active Trinity Health MyChart account.
- Internet Connection - A strong and reliable internet or Wi-Fi connection is required.
- If Using a Computer, you will need:
- Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Safari
- A camera, microphone, and speakers
- Permission for your browser to use your camera and microphone
- f Using a Mobile Device - you will need:
- The MyChart app for iPhone or Android
- Permission for the app to access your camera and microphone
- During Your Visit:
- Find a quiet, private place with few distractions.
- Do not drive or do other activities during the appointment.
You can schedule a virtual visit in one of two ways:
- Through your MyChart account
- Online through your healthcare provider's scheduling page
When scheduling, select Video Visit as the appointment type. If you do not have a MyChart account, you can sign up online.

Saint Alphonsus Care on Demand does not start, refill, or prescribe any controlled or scheduled medications under federal and DEA best practice guidelines. These medications include narcotics, anti-anxiety medications, ADHD / ADD medications, medical marijuana, sedatives, addiction treatment medications, and some psychiatric medications. We also do not start or refill weight loss medications, psychiatric medications, or prescriptions used in chronic pain management. This is a best practice / patient safety issue. If you are needing to discuss any of these types of medications, you will need to contact your primary care provider. You can also be evaluated at any of our urgent care centers, but the decision to prescribe these types of medications is up to the judgment of the provider on duty and is not guaranteed.
