Fit and Fall Proof™ Classes

seniors falling, older adult exercises, fit and fall proof classes

Falls are one of the most common causes of serious injuries and death for Idaho adults age 65 and older. The good news is that many falls can be prevented.

Fit and Fall Proof™ is a free exercise program designed to help older adults improve their strength, balance, and mobility, which can lower their risk of falling. Classes are taught by trained instructors and volunteers in a safe, supportive, and friendly environment.

Classes are held twice a week for one hour and are free to attend.

Participants often see positive results. After 10 weeks:

  • 7 out of 10 participants report improvements in physical activities such as walking, standing, and completing everyday tasks.
  • 3 out of 4 participants say they have more energy and better mental well-being.
