Supporting Every Family with Compassionate Care

Saint Alphonsus has partnered with the Family to Family Support Network™ to offer the Unique Families Program™ throughout our Women's Services locations.

This program was created to make healthcare more welcoming, supportive, and responsive to the unique needs of every family. Our goal is to provide personalized care that respects each family's situation and helps them feel supported throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and after delivery.

Who the Program Supports

The Unique Families Program serves families who may need extra support during their pregnancy and hospital experience, including:

• Families involved in adoption or surrogacy
• Members of the LGBTQIA+ community
• Families facing complex social or personal challenges
• Individuals affected by substance use disorder
• Survivors of sexual assault
• Individuals experiencing domestic violence

Our Approach to Care

The program uses a patient-centered approach, which means care is focused on the needs, goals, and experiences of each individual and family.

Our healthcare team is committed to providing:

• Respectful and compassionate care
• Consistent and personalized support
• Nonjudgmental guidance and services
• Help connecting with community resources and support programs

We believe every patient deserves individualized care before, during, and after pregnancy.

Our team works closely with families to ensure a smooth transition from hospital care to community support after discharge.

Information and support are available for:

• Adoption 
• Intended Parents
• Gestational carriers (surrogates) with a court-approved agreement 
• Gestational carriers without a court-approved agreement
