Saint Alphonsus Medical Center-Nampa Expansion
Saint Alphonsus announces historic Treasure Valley expansions
Saint Alphonsus Health System has announced plans to more than double the size of its Nampa hospital and construct a new 80,000 square foot medical complex in North Meridian. The projects, made possible by Trinity Health, represent a historic investment in healthcare infrastructure and jobs in the Treasure Valley.
These facilities, along with the recent opening of its Caldwell Health Plaza, help bring most families within 15 minutes of Saint Alphonsus primary and specialty care.
Nampa Hospital Expansion
Canyon County is one of the country’s fastest growing counties, and according to U.S. Census Bureau data from 2020-2024, the area saw a 15.5% growth in population, adding more than 35,000 residents. With rising regional strain across the healthcare ecosystem, the Nampa hospital expansion will relieve pressure by expanding capacity, creating more access to inpatient and critical care, and addressing beds per capita needs.
The expansion will more than double the hospital’s current size adding:
- Approximately 254,000 square feet of new space, including a new seven-story tower and a two-story vertical expansion of the existing hospital located at 4300 E Flamingo Ave.
- 64 new medical/surgical and Intensive Care Unit beds.
- Shell space for future growth and long-term community health.
Preparations have already begun at the Nampa hospital for the relocation of utilities to prepare the site for the upcoming construction.
“This is a transformational moment for Nampa,” said Clint Child, President of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center-Nampa. “Expanding our hospital at this scale ensures our community has the resources to grow, thrive and access the care they need close to home.”
Groundbreaking for the expansion is slated for June 2026 and completion expected in Fall 2028.
