About

I enjoy treating every age and find Family Practice very rewarding to be able to meet the patient where they are in their healthcare journey. The best thing about rural medicine is the vast array of conditions we get to treat. It has been my pleasure to serve as a healthcare provider in many small communities over the past 20 years. My family and I are loving all the great outdoor adventures and the simplicity of life that Eastern Oregon has to offer. If I am not at work, I am likely outdoors working on our property, riding horses, hunting, hiking, fishing, or camping with the family.

Philosophy of Care

I grew up in a small farming community in central Illinois. Coming from a small rural community makes it easier to connect with my patients. I strive to provide evidence-based medicine with a holistic approach. My nursing career has been mostly in Cardiology, Family Practice and Urgent Care. I have enjoyed mentoring and teaching other Nurses and Family Nurse Practitioners throughout my career.

I am so grateful to have found Jennifer, and to have her as an important part of my care team. She coordinates referrals for me with ease, listens and considers all my concerns, and we navigate from there together the path meds or tests wise. She’s also always quick to reply to mychart messaging and refill requests. Jennifer is a kind, good person, and it shines through in the way she treats her patients. I feel respected, and heard. It’s so hard to find providers as wonderful as her, and I hope she stays at St Al’s in Baker City for a very long time.
