Saint Alphonsus Health System Welcomes First Baby of 2026 in Nampa

Saint Alphonsus is pleased to announce the arrival of the first baby of 2026 at the Nampa hospital’s Birkeland Maternity Center. Baby boy Alvaro Ramirez entered the world at 5:10 a.m. on Thursday, January 1. Alvaro weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. and measured 20.5 inches. 

To commemorate the hospital’s first baby of 2026, Saint Alphonsus presented parents Maryine Archaga and Alvaro Ramirez with a basket containing a host of newborn necessities, including:
