Saint Alphonsus will provide Sports Medicine services to players and work with Athletic Club Boise to promote community wellness

Athletic Club Boise, the nation’s newest professional USL soccer team, today announced a key addition to its team, naming Saint Alphonsus as the official sports medicine provider of its soccer club.

Saint Alphonsus Health System President and CEO David McFadyen and Athletic Club Boise CEO and Co-founder Brad Stith made the multi-year agreement official earlier today during a celebratory signing at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

As the official sports medicine provider of Athletic Club Boise, Saint Alphonsus will provide medical services, athletic training, and more to the club’s players. The two organizations will also work together to promote healthy activities, including collaboration on youth sports and camps, and health and wellness education in the community.

Saint Alphonsus will draw from its roster of Board-Certified and Fellowship-Trained orthopedic and sports medicine teams – the most accessible teams across the Treasure Valley – to provide a wide array of services to Athletic Club Boise, including:
•    A team physician
•    A team athletic trainer
•    Sports psychology
•    Sports nutrition
•    Sports performance

“We are as excited as the rest of the community for the arrival of Athletic Club Boise and professional soccer to the Treasure Valley,” McFadyen said. “From preparation to play and recovery to rehab, Saint Alphonsus will walk with the athletes of Athletic Club Boise every step of the way.”

“Saint Alphonsus has been a leader in whole-athlete care and community health across the Treasure Valley, making them an ideal partner for Athletic Club Boise,” said Stith. “We’re building a club that competes with pride and purpose — and this partnership helps ensure we’re physically and mentally prepared, on and off the pitch.”

Saint Alphonsus has earned a reputation for sports medicine excellence throughout the region, with six orthopedic and sports medicine clinics housing dedicated sports medicine physicians and surgeons for both surgical and nonsurgical needs. Their providers are deeply experienced at offering this kind of specialized care for athletes, holding contracts with more than 30 different community and sports organizations from beginner sports through high school, college, and professional teams.

With stadium updates underway and full construction starting Sept. 2,  Athletic Club Boise is entering an exciting new chapter — one built with and for this community. The new 7,050-seat venue at Expo Idaho will be a home for local fans and a symbol of pride for the Treasure Valley, with the men’s team kicking off in March 2026 and the women’s team in 2027. Season ticket deposits remain open after already breaking multiple USL sales records — a testament to the region’s passion and excitement for the club. This fall, AC Boise will unveil its coaching staff and begin player recruitment, building a team that reflects Boise’s grit, values, and competitive spirit from day one.
