Where to Go for Care
When minutes matter, knowing the difference can make the difference.
When injury or illness strikes, knowing where to seek the right care can be tricky – especially if symptoms seem severe and need to be addressed quickly. For most symptoms, your Primary Care Provider should be your first point of contact. If your symptoms are urgent, or you need care outside of your Primary Care Provider’s office hours, consider walk-in Urgent Care, online Urgent Care, or even Orthopedic Urgent Care for injuries. Only when symptoms are severe, should you visit the Emergency Department. If your symptoms appear life-threatening, call 9-1-1.
When you’re just not sure where to go, use the guide below to help direct you to the right place with the appropriate level of care. For a printed copy to keep with you, download our free guide.
