Scholarships and Tuition Reimbursement

Colleague Upfront Tuition Scholarship: Available after 6 months of employment our scholarship will pay for tuition upfront for our most in-demand careers.

Colleague Application

Tuition Reimbursement: available day one of employment. Saint Alphonsus offers up to $5,250 yearly for tuition reimbursement to help further careers related to healthcare. Colleagues can use HR4U or Guild account to learn more.

Nursing Assistant: Those without healthcare experience who want to work in clinical settings can get on-the-job training through the Trinity Nursing Assistant Program to become a Nursing Assistant.

Medical Assistant Development Program

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group is providing a free MA Development Program to colleagues who are interested in becoming medical assistants. This 23-week program will offer a hybrid learning style, with portions completed both online and in person. Colleagues will sit for the CCMA certification exam upon program completion.

Tours and Job Shadowing

Job Shadowing: Provides valuable one-on-one learning experiences for individuals interested in a healthcare career. We are pleased to facilitate these opportunities. To ensure a quality experience for all, we consider and prioritize job shadow requests based on the following:

Purpose/need of the job shadow
Potential impact on patient care and/or daily operations
Available resources within the desired department and location

Shadowing Requirements:

As the observer, you are responsible for identifying and connecting with a Saint Alphonsus colleague to secure a job shadow experience.
Job shadows may be conducted for up to 2 days, in no more than 4-hour time blocks. These days should be within the same week unless otherwise requested by the provider
Your application must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the desired date(s) of the job shadow
If you are under the age of 18, you must include signed, written consent from a parent
You will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement and provide proof of certain immunizations
College students who need to shadow for entrance or credit in a healthcare-based academic program should utilize the process here to inquire about those shadowing opportunities

Tours: We are excited to offer tours to academic and community partners. Tours can be focused on a overview of the hospital or tailored to your group’s specific interests or needs. Facility tours allow attendees to see the whole spectrum of healthcare, both clinical and non-clinical, and have interact with providers and colleagues with varying levels of experience and backgrounds. Tour availability is dependent on provider/leadership scheduling, and all participants must sign a confidentiality agreement to participate.
