Estimated Financial Assistance Calculator

estimated financial assistance calculator, health insurance marketplace calculator

If you’re concerned you can’t afford health insurance, you might be surprised that financial help is available. You can qualify for subsidies if your income is up to 400% of the federal poverty level.

For example, a single person earning up to $46,680 a year, or a family of four earning up to $95,400 a year, may qualify for help. This help can lower your monthly premium or give you a tax credit at the end of the year.

The calculator and chart on this page can give you an estimate of how much help you might get. To find out the exact amount, you’ll need to apply through the Marketplace.

Where to Find This Online

Idaho: Residents use Your Health Idaho to apply for tax credits. The state adheres strictly to these federal limits.

Oregon: Residents apply through HealthCare.gov or the Oregon Health Care Marketplace. Oregon also offers OHP Bridge, a specialized program for adults with income between 133% and 200% FPL who do not qualify for traditional Medicaid.

Medicaid: In both states, if your income is below 138% FPL ($21,597 for an individual), you may qualify for Medicaid instead of a private Marketplace plan.
