Trauma Care at Saint Alphonsus

All Saint Alphonsus hospitals in Idaho are recognized as trauma centers by the Idaho Time Sensitive Emergency Council.

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is a Level II Trauma Center.
Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa is a Level III Trauma Center.

Our trauma care network serves people across southern Idaho, eastern Oregon, and northern Nevada. This network helps ensure patients receive fast, high-quality emergency care when they need it most.

We care for patients at every stage of their recovery. This starts with emergency care provided by first responders at the scene and continues through hospital treatment, rehabilitation, and a successful return to everyday life.

Our trauma network is supported by Emergency Departments in Boise, Eagle, Nampa, Ontario, and Baker City. These departments are staffed by board-certified emergency doctors and experienced nurses who work together to provide expert care for injuries, chest pain, stroke, orthopedic conditions, and other medical emergencies.

Idaho Time Sensitive Emergency accreditation

TRAUMA: Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is designated a Level II Trauma Center by the Idaho Time Sensitive Emergency System. This means we are fully equipped to provide comprehensive, 24/7 care for all major traumatic injuries. Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa is designated a Level III Trauma Center which means we are equipped to provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, emergency surgery, and stabilization.

STROKE: Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is designated a Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center by the Idaho Time Sensitive Emergency System, offering the highest, most comprehensive level of acute stroke care available. Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa is designated a Level II Primary Stroke Center, having met rigorous, evidence-based benchmarks to provide rapid, highly organized, and specified stroke care.

STEMI: All Saint Alphonsus Emergency facilities in Idaho are designated by the State of Idaho’s Time Sensitive Emergency Statewide Council (TSE) to care for patients suffering the most severe and dangerous form of a heart attack, known as a STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction).

Emergency Self-Registration

To help speed up the registration process, patients visiting our Emergency Department can now use self-registration on their mobile device while they wait to be seen.

Patients will receive a registration link by text message, email, or both. Our registration team can track progress and let medical staff know when registration is complete.
