Telestroke Program

telestroke programs, telestroke, benefits of telestroke

A stroke can happen anywhere at any time. Getting treatment quickly, especially in remote areas, can help prevent irreversible damage or even death.

The Saint Alphonsus Telestroke Network connects our stroke experts with rural partner hospitals throughout the region. Through telehealth, a Saint Alphonsus neurologist will work with the bedside clinical team to remotely evaluate, diagnose, and rapidly identify patients eligible for acute stroke therapies that can be administered immediately, as well as identify patients who may benefit from the specialized interventions available at Saint Alphonsus.

The goal of the program is to support prompt, local treatment, and reduce risk of further damage due to stroke.

If you are a provider or program administrator interested in partnering with Saint Alphonsus for Telestroke, please contact us at telehealth@saintalphonsus.org.
