The Patient Safety Research Program is led by Program Director Melanie Wright, Trinity Health, Unified Clinical Organization Office of Academic Affairs, who has been researching patient safety concerns since 2003. Clinicians, patient safety and quality specialists, informaticists and others from the system office in Livonia, SARMC, and other regional health ministries participate in research projects. Faculty, students, and staff of academic partners including Duke University, University of Utah, Loyola University, Boise State University, and Idaho State University also participate in research projects.
