Great Doctor, listening to everything asked and concerns answered very clear.
With his specialization as both a podiatrist and orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Bird is exactly what I was searching for when I received a referral to see him. I believe that his professional focus on the ankle and foot greatly expedited his diagnosis of the tendinopathy which had been a long-standing problem for me. He was also able to expedite and perform the surgery which will hopefully provide a favorable outcome.
Can't say enough good things - I've recommended him to all my friends and relatives.
He was willing to take the time necessary to understand my concerns, and then present me with several options. I felt I was heard, understood, and the best plan was put in place to treat my feet.

Explained issue with ankle more so than other physician that I visited 2 years ago with same condition.
My hubby said Dr Bird gave us more time in one pre op appointment than 3 appointments he had in his knee replacement. Very detailed doctor and that is what I want in a doctor who is going to be performing surgery on my foot!

Dr. Bird is one of the best! When he comes in the room he always has a smile and asks how are you doing, and looks me over and let's me know what is next and when to come back. And he is funny.

I do not like going to the doctor, in fact I've been told I have "white coat" syndrome because I've had to spend so much time in doctors offices. But if I had to add yet another doctor to my list of physicians, I'm glad Dr Vaux sent me to Dr Bird. He's a pleasant person that takes the time to be thourough yet doesn't waste time with redundent questions and the like. He seems confident in a good way. And unfortunately I'm kind of an expert on doctors at this point in my life and I'd give him a gold star.
The surgery on my foot was excellent and not only fixed my foot problem, but the surgery also eliminated a problem with hip bursitis as I am now walking correctly. Dr. Bird is such a great surgeon with an excellent patient connection. Please feel free to publish this on Google.
He know what he is doing
He made me feel completely at ease even though my Great toe was going to be missing. I can't imagine going through this experience without any other Dr, giving me the OK. It will be OK.

I thought Dr Bird was very thorough. He chose to run a few more tests to make sure my body will heal quickly. I’m comparing this to a doctor I saw at another practice that didn’t notice the same things Dr Bird did.
