About
Philosophy of Care
My commitment to improving health disparities, especially for the most vulnerable patients, motivates my interests in Palliative Medicine, clinical medicine, and medical education. I completed medical school at the University of Washington and spent two years training in different hospitals in Boise. A particularly formative experience was during my Palliative Medicine rotation at Saint Alphonsus, which was my first exposure to my future chosen specialty. I then completed Internal Medicine training at the Harvard Medical School affiliated Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I completed Hospice and Palliative Medicine training at Cook County Health before then moving to New Orleans, serving as a physician at University Medical Center and Assistant Professor with Tulane University School of Medicine. I am so excited to be back in Boise serving patients with serious illness with the Palliative Medicine team at Saint Alphonsus. I am passionate about caring for and advocating for my patients and helping to educate my peers and trainees about quality care for patients with serious illness.
