Initially thought he was a little abrupt but then when he had the needed info. Took his time, was empathetic to my needs. Explained things well. I have an unusual situation as had surgery in another state so he is in a somewhat difficult situation w my particular case.
Dr. Vaux made me feel comfortable right away, even though this was my first time as a patient of his. He was knowledgeable and explained things in a way that was easy to understand.

A knee replacement is a very common procedure but Dr. Vaux makes you feel like you are the only person having surgery on your scheduled day.He is patient and takes the time for explanations and questions.
I liked my results on my right knee so much that I’m willing to also have my left knee replaced.

I really liked Dr. Vaux, and wish I could have him as a surgeon in the future when I need my knee replaced. However, I am a widow alone, with no family nearby and would therefore need the quicker healing sub-vastus surgery so I could be independent VERY quickly, even though overall healing time may be the same. I'm hoping he considers doing in the future

Amazing doctor , I can walk again
The doctor is the best
I think he did a great job when he replaced my total hip after I broke it last June. I have no problems with the new replacement hip. The fall that broke my leg also affected my right knee. I am seeing the Doctor again now, as my right knee is quite arthritic. I think it caused me to fall again recently, but nothing was broke this time. We are going to have an MRI done to the right knee for a better evaluation of what is going on at this time.
He is very thorough in explaining what is going on with me.

He is professional in a way that sets one at ease from the first moment he greets one, and instills great confidence in his abilities. His after care has been outstanding. He listens to concerns and follows up. Definitely would recommend him to anyone, especially if it is important that you are allowed to advocate for yourself. Dr. Vaux is quietly friendly and outgoing and conveys a sense of well-being to the patient. He explains everything clearly and takes time to answer off the cuff questions. He is well prepared to meet with the patient. He has done one knee replacement for me and the next one is in about 10 days - I am totally confident in the care I will receive from him and his team.
