Philosophy of Care

As a family physician, I care for individuals and families across their lifespan, prioritizing holistic, person-centered care that honors each patient’s voice and goals. I believe in building lasting relationships grounded in trust and shared decision-making, partnering to prevent illness and manage health challenges together. I have a special interest in obesity medicine, chronic disease management, and lifestyle medicine—helping patients make sustainable changes in nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and stress to improve their overall well-being. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors with my beautiful wife and two kids whether it’s hiking, kayaking, or going on a bike ride on the Boise River Greenbelt.

Dr. Kodatt is bright, and engaging, and reassuring. All of the staff at the new Caldwell facility appear to back up what I experienced with Dr. Kodatt...and I feel both confident, and comfortable with my new care provider.
