Ji Young An, NP

I am deeply proud to be an Endocrinology Nurse practitioner with over a decade of specialized experience in diabetes and endocrine care. My clinical approach is uniquely shaped by my foundational background as a social worker, holding a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. I later advanced my medical training by earning my associate degree in nursing at CWI, bachelor’s and Master’s in Western Governors University, followed by a post master’s degree from Regis college.

This dual background fuels my passion for chronic disease management, particularly in Endocrinology . Because these conditions require lifelong care, I view treatment as an art-one that blends advanced medicine with the psychosocial support needed for patients to truly understand, own, and manage their health.

In my personal life, I am very dedicated to my community, actively serving my local church. Outside of my career, I am the proud mother of three beautiful adult children and love staying active through gardening, biking, hiking, and walking.

Philosophy of Care

My patient care philosophy is rooted in treating individuals as whole people, not numbers on a chart. I believe that truly impactful healthcare relies on respecting patient autonomy and providing seamless coordination and continuity of care.

My goal is to partner with patients to enhance their self-care capabilities, ensuring they fully understand and own their health conditions related to Endocrinology including diabetes . By fostering clear communication and mutual trust, I empower patients to become active, confident leaders in their own healing journeys.
