Philosophy of Care

Working in oncology is a privilege. I get to come alongside many people and offer hope at a critical time in their lives. It is important for patients to know and feel that they are part of a team, dedicated not only to diagnosing and treating them, but also to achieving quality of life. The emergency room doctrine was especially a tenant and straightforward with us… I was impressed that he actually had communication with Dr. Rich, my cardiologist before finally deciding to release me from emergency.

I met with Janessa Waterman on [date] to do a status of my PV, especially after I'd been on a 5 week trip. She was so excited (almost more than me) that the blood work shows I'm in the control range. In addition, she spent the time and effort to make sure what the process will be going forward.
