Philosophy of Care

My approach to counseling is by my client and I working together to identify and reduce the barriers for the client in living the life they want to live. These barriers may be certain situations, ways of thinking, difficult emotions, or behaviors. My role as the counselor is, through a process of communication and particular methods, to help the client gain more clarity on the issues and make changes that result in positive changes.

My interest in the counseling profession stems from a long history in the belief of helping others when possible combined with an interest about the behaviors and emotions of all people.
