About
Philosophy of Care
I enjoy spending time listening to my patients and getting to know them well. I joined Saint Alphonsus as an OB/GYN physician in 2002. While I still consider childbirth an astonishing miracle, I made the decision to limit my practice to gynecology in 2013. This has allowed me to spend more time with my family as well as to specialize more in minimally invasive surgeries and procedures. I believe that my patients will be best taken care of if I can help them find the right combination of diet, exercise, and self-care. While I try to avoid surery whenever possible, I am thankful that I am able to perform surgery at a time and history when technology has allowed us to practice minimally invasive techniques. I really enjoy helping women get back on track with their lives when heavy bleeding is interfering. In the office, I perform hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, as well as vulvar procedures, Laparoscopic and hysterescopic myomectomies, endometrial ablations, total laparoscopic hysterectomies, and removal of ovarian cysts laparoscopically are all procedures that I perform regularly. All of these options allow women to move on with their lives quickly when gynecological problems are holding them back.

- As well as laparoscopic uterosacral ligament suspensions for enterocele and colpocleisis for severe prolapse
- Diagnosis and treatment of cervical disorders including colposcopy, LEEP biopsy, cold knife cone biopsy, vaginoscopy and vulvar excisions
- Endometrial biopsy
- Hysterescopic myomectomies and polypectomies as well as other operative hysteroscopic procedures. In office drainage and excision of Bartholin gland abscess and cysts
- In office and hospital based hysterscopy
- In-office and hospital based endometrial ablation
- Laparoscopic excision of endometriosis and adhesions
- Medical and laparoscopic surgical management of ovarian cysts
- Removal of vulvar lesions including warts, moles, vulvar cysts and abscess
- Suburethral slings for stress urinary incontinence

- Total laparoscopic hysterectomy including removal of fibroid uterus
