Dr. Southard and her staff have always been very professional, helpful and courteous. She has always been punctual and professional in preparing for my appointment having reviewed my chart thoroughly. I feel very lucky to have her as my primary care physician. I would highly recommend her!

Dr. Southard listens carefully and respectfully and was willing to order a couple of extra labs I requested that I would have to pay for ( insurance would not). Also my labs were drawn in the office since I was fasting. Very convenient!

The only thing that sticks out is that it seems like the doctor has a patient quota to fill and a limited amount of time to spend with each patient. I think this may be due to strict rules for physicians set by St Als/Trinity. I remember the time in medicine when a doctor was able to take a very long time with a patient and never seemed to be in a hurry. I could very well be wrong about this. I know Dr Southard is extremely thorough, has good people skills and does a GREAT job with me. So, this comment is not about Dr Southard personally, but rather is a comment on medicine today.
