Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Nampa Meals on Wheels provides healthy meals and friendly support for older adults who have trouble cooking for themselves or leaving their homes.
Who Can Receive Meals?
You may qualify if you:
- Are 60 years old or older
- Have difficulty leaving your home
- Cannot drive or have limited transportation
- Do not have regular help at home
Anyone can refer a friend, family member, neighbor, or loved one who may need Meals on Wheels.
How to sign up
To make a referral or find out if someone qualifies, call the Area Agency on Aging at 208-898-7060.
The Area Agency on Aging will review the referral and decide if the person meets the program requirements. If approved, the Meals on Wheels team will arrange meal delivery.

Nampa Meals on Wheels helps older adults stay healthy and independent by providing:
- Nutritious meals
- Friendly visits
- Wellness checks
Please note: Meals on Wheels is not an emergency food service.
What's Included in a Meal?
Each meal usually includes:
- A protein (such as meat, poultry, fish, or beans)
- Vegetables
- Grains
- Fruit
- Dairy products
Delivery times
Meals are usually delivered between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays throughout Nampa and nearby rural communities.
Cost
For people approved through programs such as the Medicaid A&D Waiver or the Area Agency on Aging, meals are usually provided at no cost.
We also offer a private-pay option for people who do not qualify for funding or prefer to pay themselves.
Private-pay cost: $8 per meal
Meals on Wheels is supported by federal and state funding, Saint Alphonsus, private-pay contributions, and generous community donations. These resources help us continue serving older adults in our community.
