Adult Mental Health First AidAdult Mental Health First Aid – Online
Join us from the comfort of your home for this
live, online, interactive class which will be facilitated via TEAMS.
Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches people how to
recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18
and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person
toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression,
psychosis, and addictions.
Topics covered include:
- Common signs and symptoms of mental health
challenges - How to interact with a person in crisis.
- How to connect the youth with help
- Expanded content on trauma, substance use and
self-care
Location: Online – Self-paced modules and a link
will be sent to you prior to the start of your class.
Note: Learners will complete a 2-hour, self-paced
online course prior to attending online training and participate in a 6-hour,
instructor-led training. The instructor led training will be facilitated via
TEAMS
