Childbirth Preparation Lamaze - Ontario

Designed around the Lamaze International Care Practices for Normal Birth, this 1-day class is designed to provide information on prenatal care, labor, delivery, postpartum and breastfeeding. In collaboration with your support team, learn skills necessary to make the best choices for your birthing experience.

Topics Include:

• Nutrition/Stretching/Physical changes during pregnancy
• Stages of Labor
• What to expect and what to do during labor
• Interventions and Cesarean Birth
• Choices in childbirth
• Massage/Breathing/Positions for labor and pushing
• Postpartum
• Breastfeeding - presentation from our local lactation consultant
• Car Seat Safety
• Tour of the Maternity Center

We encourage you to take this class in your third trimester (25-40 weeks.) Please register as soon as possible.

Registration is per couple - please register for 1 person and we will reserve a spot for both of you.

Supplies: Please bring a lunch and snacks for the day, a couple of pillows, a blanket, and wear comfortable clothes.

Directions: 
Please use the West Entrance (ER side) and enter 2nd set of double doors and go right of the Main Security Desk. The elevator is behind the desk on the right. Take the elevator to the ground floor. Upon exiting the elevator, turn left. The Dom Rom Conference Room will be on your left midway down the hall.
