Work Conditioning
- Similar to Work Hardening
- Clients have fewer barriers to recovery
- Clients do not need psychological support
- Not included in weekly team meetings (staffing)
Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)
- Assesses a person's ability to perform job-related activity
- Specific to the individual worker capacities and job functions
- Uses objective, reliable, and valid data
- Administered by certified specialist
Job Placement Assessment (JPA)
- Non-discriminatory assessments used to screen workers
- Utilized before employees begin a job, return from leave, or change jobs
- Determines safe capacities to perform required job tasks
- Used to reduce employee risk for injury on the job
Pre-employment/Post-offer Testing
- Physical evaluation given to a job candidate only after a conditional job offer is made
- Assesses lifting areas such as strength, range of motion, and balance
- Includes specific job duties like lifting, pushing, pulling, or climbing ladders
Ergonomic Assessment
- Performed by Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS)
- Evaluates the workstation for a specific employee
- Recommendations provided for modifications
- Reduces risk of repetitive use injuries
