School-Age Child Care provides children with a wide variety of academic enrichment activities that help children make new friends, do better in school, enjoy more physical activity, develop new skills, and live with caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Children in our programs benefit from a safe and nurturing environment that incorporates character values, provides positive adult role models, and develops necessary skills. Incorporating the latest research in Youth Development, YMCA School-Age Child Care create academic enrichment activities to foster each child’s cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development. Every day, children engage through a “hands-on, minds-on” approach, allowing children to be physically active and cognitively challenged. Children are given the power of choice to participate in a variety of learning centers such as homework help, STEM, arts and crafts, physical activity, and play.
