Saint Alphonsus (4 locations in Idaho & Oregon) is hiring Medical Laboratory Scientists for multiple positions including full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities.
Medical laboratory scientists on our team will perform tests related to the diagnosis and treatment of patients by utilizing various medical laboratory procedures in the Clinical Laboratory. They will correlate and integrate other patient data when interpreting test results. They will use professional judgment and an in-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, scientific principles, quality control, and instrument maintenance. Finally, medical laboratory scientists will recognize problems, identify causes, and determine alternative methods and solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or equivalent certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required or registry eligible and obtained within 1 year of hire date.
- Completion of medical technology training required.
- Experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.

Ontario and Baker City Laboratories
- Phlebotomy – Ontario rare, Baker City required
- Labs are staffed 24/7
- Ontario - 400 tests performed daily
- Baker City - 200 tests performed daily
- Limited Blood Bank and Microbiology
- Exclusively Generalist duties
- Required to be able to work alone
