At Saint Alphonsus, we know the best medicine is preventive medicine. To help keep you healthy, it is important to visit your primary care provider annually, and receive the proper screenings for your age and individual health. 

Female Age 40 and Over

Suggested Screenings*

Blood Pressure - Annually 
Height & Weight - Annually 
Mammogram - Annually. Call 208-367-8787 to schedule your appointment. 
Skin Screening - Based on individual risk. Check with your Primary Care Provider. 
Pap Smear - Every 1-3 Years 
Cholesterol - Every 3-5 Years 
Colorectal Cancer - Beginning at age 50, earlier if high risk 
Blood Glucose Screening - If high risk 
Bone Density - At age 65, earlier if high risk 
Lung Cancer - Available for those 55 and older who meet screening criteria. Learn more
Depression - If problems arise 
Hearing - Initial Evaluation at 40, then regularly as recommended by primary care provider 
Vision - Every 2 Years 
Dental - Annually

Immunizations*

Flu - Annually 
Pneumonia - Annually beginning at age 65 or sooner if high risk 
Tetanus-Diphtheria - Every 10 Years
