Working at Saint Alphonsus Ontario

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center — Ontario and its employees continually strive to give their best to the people they serve, largely because we are able to attract high-quality people to our organization and because we are committed to working toward common goals.

We seek individuals who are not only professionally and technically excellent, compassionate and motivated, but who also understand and support the Saint Alphonsus Medical Center — Ontario mission and value statements. These statements give focus to our efforts, so everyone is working toward a common goal.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center — Ontario requires additional training for registered nurses wishing to provide care to patients in the Critical Care Unit. We offer training to registered nurses who wish to become Critical Care nurses and pay for that training. If the nurse stays with Saint Alphonsus for two years following the end of the CCU training, the cost of the training will be forgiven.

If the nurse leaves the CCU before the two-year period ends however, they will be asked to pay a portion of the training costs. During the training, the RN will be paid the prevailing wage for registered nurses with their training and experience, as well as a shift differential for any shift actually worked during the training period. The amount of training necessary will depend on the RN's previous training and experience.
