Welcome to Outpatient Medical Rehabilitation Services at Saint Alphonsus Rehabilitation Services (STARS). STARS provides comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation treatment with a staff of specialists that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, recreation therapists, speech therapists, neuropsychologists, social workers and case managers. We offer physician management in our programs that serve individuals with Occupational injuries, Brain Injuries, Spinal Cord Injuries, Stroke and Neurological Diseases. STARS’ number one goal is to provide “Excellence in Rehabilitation” by providing the best quality of care for patients and their families.

STARS is conveniently located in 10 different locations throughout the Treasure Valley, including Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, and Caldwell.

The overall goals of each STARS program and service line are to maximize functional independence and minimize pain. The focus of each program is to identify each participant's home and community needs, simulate or address the identified needs, and integrate the patient into these activities. We strive to facilitate discharge to an environment that allows the highest level of independent functioning possible; however, in some cases (especially within the neurological programs) it may be necessary to refer to other more appropriate discharge settings that provide more appropriate levels of cuing and supervision. These decisions are based on the current or projected needs of each individual at discharge.

STARS accepts various funding sources including but not limited to Private Insurance, Worker's Compensation, Self-Pay, HMO/PPO, Medicare, In-state Medicaid, Out-of-State Medicaid, and CHAMPUS. We assist with application for uncompensated care as available for individuals who are uninsured and cannot afford to pay.

STARS seeks to keep patients, families and significant others informed of local and regional support groups, advocacy agencies, and community resources. Assistance is provided to access these resources as needed.
