Pediatric Rehabilitation
Welcome to
Saint Alphonsus Pediatric Orthopedics

Pediatric Orthopedics is the treatment of muscles, bones, and joints for children. Pediatric Orthopedics is unique because children's bodies are growing, therefore, they respond differently to injury than that of an adult. Additionally, there are specific conditions that only occur in children.

For these reasons, a specialist who only focuses on treating children is needed. Dr. Shilt, has received an additional year of formal training after Orthopedic residency in the management of pediatrics.

He also has over ten years of experience in diagnosing and managing children's conditions. He is involved in several prestigious research programs developing new and modern approaches to managing conditions such as scoliosis and cerebral palsy. He understands the unique needs of children as patients and the anxiety that parents or guardians have when their younger loved one is injured.

Most likely your child will be referred to Saint Alphonsus Pediatric Orthopedics by your pediatrician, emergency medicine physician, or family practitioner, but sometimes you may elect to bring your child as a result of a suspected fracture, pain, or concern. We welcome any questions or concerns.
