Spine Care Program
The Idaho Neurological Institute has implemented a
program for the comprehensive management of spinal diseases and disorders
of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, including spinal deformities,
fractures, infections, tumors and arthritis. Physicians within the INI engage
in ongoing clinical research to explore and substantiate advances in operative
and non-operative methods of diagnosis and treatment of spinal problems. They
have extensive experience in the treatment of spinal degenerative disease
(such as lumbar spinal stenosis) and traumatic disorders and deformity (scoliosis,
kyphosis).
The INI also uses minimally invasive techniques, such as a new spinal fusion technique, to treat a variety of conditions, including vertebral compression fractures. A full range of spinal instrumentation procedures is performed for stabilization of degenerative, neoplastic and traumatic etiologies. Spinal cord tumors, vascular malformations and spasticity are treated in collaboration with specialists in those areas.
The INI provides a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation and treatment of patients with spinal disorders affecting the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Additionally, the INI brings together a dedicated, widely recognized core of spinal care professionals to offer the highest quality of state of the art care for conditions affecting the adult and pediatric spine. The INI offers surgical and non-surgical care for all conditions affecting the spine, including:
