
Is the Life Flight membership just for me?
Your Saint Alphonsus Life Flight membership fee covers you, your spouse (or
domestic partner), and any unmarried dependents living with you, up to the
age of 23, who you claim on your income tax return.
Who can call for Life Flight?
Typically experienced medical personnel or first responders such as a physician,
nurse, paramedic, fire, or law enforcement official will call Life Flight;
however, in cases where someone needing care is in a remote area, citizens
can call Life Flight.
Can I buy a Life Flight Membership as a gift?
Yes, buying a Life Flight membership can make a great
gift for family, friends and co-workers. Please contact the membership
office for assistance or fill out the membership brochure and select
the Gift Membership option.
Can I request where Life Flight transports me?
Based upon your medical condition, Life Flight will transfer you to the
nearest, most appropriate facility for care and will honor your hospital preference whenever possible.
What is Life Flight's Service Area?
Life
Flight covers over 100,000 square miles locally in southern Idaho, eastern
Oregon and northern Nevada. Life Flight has helicopter bases in Boise, McCall,
Ontario and soon Mountain Home and one airplane based at the Boise Airport.
If I am a member and flown by Life Flight, will I pay anything extra
for the flight?
No, as a Saint Alphonsus Life Flight member you will not pay any deductibles
or out-of-pocket expenses beyond your membership fee.
Does Life Flight offer any discounts?
Life Flight does acknowledge certain affiliations, such
as military veterans and AAA members, and offers them certain discounts. Other
organizations, such as Idaho Farm Bureau and Seasonal Ski Pass, holders have
made arrangements with Life Flight to pass along discounts to their members.
Does my membership cover me when I travel to southern
states during winter?
Life Flight does not have a reciprocal partnership
with any air ambulance provider in Arizona or any other southern state; however,
we do offer reciprocal coverage in parts of Oregon, Nevada, Wyoming, California
and other parts of Idaho. For

If my child is transported by Life Fight, can I ride along with her?
If at
all possible we try to have a family member ride with the patient. Based
upon strict safety guidelines, the flight crew will make that determination at
the time of the flight.
