Pediatrics

The 10-bed Pediatric & Adolescent Unit provides family-centered nursing care to children from birth to 18 years of age. Children who have been in accidents, need surgery or who require hospitalization because they are ill are cared for by a Registered Nurse and a Certified Nursing Assistant. Services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our Pediatrics staff is trained to care for young patients, using specialized equipment whether the diagnosis is simple or complex. Care may include dressing changes, sedation, heart and respiratory monitoring and other procedures.

A Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist is available for patient and family education. A variety of specialists may assist with the care of the child including:

  • Respiratory Therapist
  • Physical Therapist
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Social Worker
  • Recreational Therapist
  • Clinical Resource Manager
