The Cancer Care Center provides multiple support services that have an integral role in our ability to care for you during treatment. While conventional radiation, chemotherapy and hormonal therapies physically fight your disease, we also integrate evidence-based complementary therapies that will help your fight in healing body, mind and spirit.

We also offer programs that can assist you with an inward focus and healing such as mindfulness based stress reduction, restorative yoga, massage therapy, creative expressive activities, guided imagery and patient and family counseling. Listening and sharing with others who also face the challenges associated with cancer can greatly enhance your overall sense of well-being, so our support groups offer useful information as well as a supportive atmosphere.

Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center is committed to increasing cancer awareness in our communities. We host annual conferences for the general public and healthcare professionals to address the latest topics of interest relating to cancer prevention, treatment and complementary therapies.

Our commitment to increased awareness and the importance of early detection extends beyond the Treasure Valley with a mobile health screening van that travels throughout southwestern Idaho and eastern Oregon. We conduct numerous cancer screenings and health fairs each year, offering many opportunities for people to be screened for breast, prostate and skin cancer.

Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center, along with other healthcare partners, also sponsors community cancer events such as the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, the Main Street Mile for Men's Health and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, which raise funds that are used locally to increase awareness for cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and research programs.
