To inquire about bringing the Mobile Health Screening Coach to your function or facility, please call 208-367-3571.

The Mobile Health Screening Coach travels to southwestern Idaho, eastern Oregon and northern Nevada and is used primarily to provide critical mammography services. In fact, Saint Alphonsus provided over 1,700 women with mammograms last year. In the southwest Idaho region, only 25 to 35 percent of women who need mammograms are getting this life-saving medical screening. The goal of Saint Alphonsus is to dramatically increase this number by making it more convenient to get this necessary and important breast care screening.

The Mobile Health Screening Coach is a patient-friendly, comfortable, convenient, efficient and technologically sophisticated vehicle designed to bring services to clinics, businesses, schools and community events where such services are not readily available.

Services available on the Mobile Health Screening Coach include:

  • Mammography and Clinical Breast Exam
  • Bone Density Screening

At Saint Alphonsus, we believe that your primary care physician is important to helping you manage and maintain your health. That is why we refer any results or follow-up procedures back to your doctor in your local area. For your convenience, you can discuss these results with your physician and determine where you prefer to go for any course of treatment.

Using the latest technology in detecting breast cancer through computer-aided detection (CAD), our radiologists use the R2 Image Checker CAD System to highlight suspicious areas on the mammogram. This results in a “second read” for patients and helps minimize negative or incorrect readings during mammograms. The R2 Image Checker CAD System has been shown to increase the rate of breast cancer detection by up to 23.4 percent.
