Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a benefit designed to provide confidential professional assistance to you and your immediate family. The EAP program is intended to encourage you and your eligible family members to seek professional counseling when you have personal problems that may interfere with your job performance, health and/or quality of life.

By offering EAP services as part of your benefit program, your employer encourages you to utilize this professional help whenever it is needed. Please note that Saint Alphonsus EAP services may not be included in your benefit program. Always check with your benefit plan provider to be certain our EAP services are included in your plan before you schedule a visit.

Remember:

What Can You Expect From Our EAP Counselors
Saint Alphonsus EAP counselors are experienced, licensed and certified in the assessment and short-term counseling of people faced with difficult personal problems. Our counselors assess the nature and scope of the problem and discuss the necessary steps to resolve the problem. All counseling is strictly confidential unless you sign a waiver for release of information.

Since the EAP is a benefit provided by your employer, you and your immediate family members are eligible to receive a limited number of personal counseling sessions at no cost. If you need to be referred to other community resources or extend your counseling sessions, the EAP counselor will discuss costs, insurance coverage and other details with you.

If you are not certain how many visits your employer has provided, or have other questions about the program, please contact your Human Resource/Benefits department or the Saint Alphonsus EAP at 208-367-3300.

Scheduling An Appointment
To schedule an appointment during our regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., please call 208-367-3300. Evening counseling hours are available by special appointment.

In the event of a crisis or emergency after business hours, you may call 208-367-3300 and a counselor will be paged 24 hours and day, seven days a week. If safety is an immediate concern, call 911 or proceed to the closest emergency room.
