Saint Alphonsus is proud to partner with the March of Dimes and provide a March of Dimes Family Support Specialist to work with our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit families at no cost. This coordinator acts as a support system for all families in the NICU providing education, compassion and various therapeutic distractions during this stressful time. This service aims to:

  • Provide information and comfort to families during the NICU hospitalization of their newborn, during the transition home and with any other issues that may arise.
  • Contribute to NICU staff professional development through education and support.
  • Promote the philosophy of family-centered-care throughout the NICU
