These recommendations are designed to support patients in achieving optimal lipid levels and reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.
The Saint Alphonsus Lipid Clinic specializes in the treatment and management of elevated cholesterol and triglyceride levels. The program involves medical evaluation, lifestyle assessment, blood testing, nutrition and exercise counseling, and pharmacologic intervention. In addition, advanced lipid and genetic testing, family screening and genetic counseling may be provided. The Lipid Clinic’s healthcare team consists of cardiologists, lipid specialists, pharmacists, nutritionists and exercise physiologists.
