| The surgical department at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Baker City is a multi-faceted area. It consists of a day surgery unit, two operating suites, recovery room, endoscopies area and a sterile processing department. The surgery department offers a range of services in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Endoscopies, Obstetrics, and occasionally Ears, Nose and Throat.
Two certified registered nurse anesthetists provide our anesthesia. They provide a wide range of anesthesia options for each surgical procedure and perform epidural steroid injections on a regular basis. All of our nurses are ACLS certified.
