Capitol ClassicCapitol Classic Children's Race

Celebrating 31 years of promoting youth fitness, the Saint Alphonsus Capitol Classic Race is open to kids ages 6 to 14, of ALL abilities. The one-mile course starts at the Historic Boise Train Depot and ends at the State Capitol with a Finish Fair in Capitol Park. Everyone is a winner and receives an Olympic-style medal, T-shirt and complimentary refreshments. Proceeds from the Classic benefit programs for children's health at Saint Alphonsus.

Since 1995, Saint Alphonsus Foundation has supported the work of Catholic priest and physician, Father Rick Frechette, through Project Haiti.  In partnership with over 2,500 generous donors and volunteers, Project Haiti has provided resources and medical expertise to support the work of Father Rick's pediatric facility, St. Damien's Children's Hospital.  Father Rick and his staff serve 80,000 children annually through all of the St. Damien healthcare programs. 

Each September, Saint Alphonsus hosts an evening with Father Rick Frechette.  This inspiring event allows guests to hear first hand from Father Rick Frechette on the life-saving work that he is doing in Haiti.

Funds raised benefit the Saint Alphonsus Breast Care Center's outreach programs. Recent data ranks Idaho as the lowest in the nation - #51 - for breast cancer screening rates.  Help change these statistics by joining us!

Enjoy a fun night of Bunko with prizes for both the winners and the losers!  Raffles, Silent Auction, Snacks and a No-Host Bar will be provided.

The Festival of Trees has been a favorite holiday tradition for residents of the Treasure Valley for more than 25 years and has raised over $7 million to improve healthcare in our community.

Every year during Thanksgiving week, Boise Centre on the Grove becomes home to a wonderland of holiday splendor featuring hundreds of lavishly decorated Christmas trees and wreaths. Enhancing this remarkable display is a series of special events designed to please people of all ages. From the black-tie Gala to Breakfast with Santa, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Since 1988, Saint Alphonsus has hosted an annual awards dinner recognizing and honoring those who have made a substantial impact on Saint Alphonsus and our community with the Distinguished Individual Citizen Award and the Distinguished Corporate Citizen Award.  We proudly honored Most Reverend Michael P. Driscoll, M.S.W., D.D. as our 2013 Distinguished Individual Citizen.  Idaho Emergency Physicians and Gem State Radiology were recognized as our 2013 Distinguished Corporate Citizens.
