Dr. Schutt grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and attended college and medical school at Creighton University. He then attended a five year orthopedic residency program at Kansas University Medical Center.
There, he gained interest in surgery of the foot and ankle and participated in the development of instrumentation for the STAR total ankle. The total ankle replacement procedure led him to meet Dr. Coughlin and he completed his fellowship with him in the summer of 2011.
After his fellowship, he moved back to Omaha NE. where he developed and opened the Methodist Foot and Ankle Center. His current clinical interests are total ankle replacement, complex foot deformities, hindfoot arthritis, Charcot arthropathy, hallux valgus deformities and forefoot pathology.
