Practice Scope: Full-spectrum pulmonary disease outpatient practice along with Intensivist duties at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and robotic telemedicine consultation at affiliated Intensive Care Units (ICUs)

Affiliated Hospital: On-site: Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Boise (SARMC); 22 bed ICU; 10 bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU); and 10 bed Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). Affiliated Saint Alphonsus ID/OR telemedicine network facilities. 

Primary Location: Clinic-based practice on campus of SARMC in Boise, Idaho; Outreach clinic locations TBD

Practice Model: Employment

Status: Full-time

Availability: 2013 

Requirements: ABIM Certification in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine (or obtain such boarding within 3 years of employment)

Work Schedule: Rotation of ICU day shifts, ICU evening/night shifts, and clinic weeks

Call/Nights: Share equally in pulmonary / critical care call with other eligible members of the SARMC Department of Medicine; nights are covered as a rotation and not regarded as call. Presently, night and weekend expectation is 1:6

EMR/EHR: Inpatient EMR /Computerized Order Entry (CPOE): Cerner PowerChart®; NextGen® Ambulatory EHR

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) is the principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary critical care services within the region. Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 270 provider multispecialty group practice that seeks an ABIM certified Pulmonologist/Intensivist genuinely interested in growing a pulmonary disease outpatient practice combined with critical care duties in the Intensive Care Unit at SARMC.

Requirements include a strong pulmonary and critical care background, fellowship training and a sincere desire to practice in a variety of settings including outpatient clinic, general inpatient consultation, critical care and telemedicine consultation.  In providing this support, you will obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Saint Alphonsus Health System’s pulmonary disease and intensivist programs across all communities we serve.
