Requirements: Individual with a doctor of medicine (MD) or a doctor of osteopathy (DO) degree (MD/DO); successful completion of a ACGME accredited orthopedic residency program; board certification through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS) (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment); Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Fellowship; a member in good standing of the American Orthopaedic Foot And Ankle Society; current, unrestricted full license in Idaho and Oregon to practice medicine in all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy & DEA.
Work Schedule: Days and periodic weekends
Call: General orthopedics call shared with other eligible members of the SARMC Department of Orthopedics as well as some Ortho Trauma ER call coverage.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 280+ provider multispecialty group practice seeking a full-time Orthopedic Surgeon (MD/DO) to practice at the Saint Alphonsus Medical Group – Coughlin Clinic to treat and triage traumatic, reconstructive, and sports medicine related orthopedic conditions of the foot & ankle at a newly developed campus-based Hartman Medical Office Building Clinic. The well qualified candidate will also commit to and demonstrate a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care.
The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group – Coughlin Clinic was established by renowned surgeon, Michael J. Coughlin, MD. The clinic includes Dr. Christopher Hirose, a 4th generation physician with advanced experience in complicated foot and ankle surgical intervention and one Advanced Practice Practitioner as well as the Coughlin Fellowship for Foot & Ankle Surgery. The program has clinics in Boise, Nampa and Sun Valley and has an active research program with dedicated Clinical Research Coordinators to assist surgeons interested in orthopedic research and is currently conducting 10 trials.
SAMG – Coughlin Clinic is part of SAMG-Orthopedics which is comprised of Orthopedists fellowship trained in Joint Reconstruction, Sports, Spine as well as Hand and Microvascular that cover two states supported by a regional health system. Saint Alphonsus also has an active orthopedic co-management program that provides an opportunity for involvement in business decision making, program management and strategic direction.
