Emergency Department

Our emergency department is a 21-bed multidisciplinary department offering comprehensive emergency care with 24-hour staffing of physicians who are board-certified or board-eligible in emergency medicine.

The emergency department is staffed by nurses with specialized credentials in emergency nursing and uses a nationally recognized triage system for classifying emergency patients by the severity of their illness, not the time they arrive, ensuring prompt treatment. Convenient bedside registration decreases wait time.

The emergency department has the state-of-the-art equipment and specialized rooms to accommodate and treat minor trauma and acute cardiac; pediatric; orthopedic; obstetrics/gynecology; and ear nose and throat emergencies, with 24-hour access to laboratory, radiology, computed tomography (CT) scanning and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services.

The emergency department staff members, working collaboratively with ancillary support services and physicians, are committed to providing the highest quality, most timely and compassionate patient care services in the Valley. We want our patients to feel not only that their illness was cared for, but that they, as people, are cared about.

We are committed to making sure that you are completely satisfied with the service we provide and that you recommend us to your family and friends and continue to use Saint Alphonsus Medical Center — Nampa for all your health care needs. If for some reason we do not meet your expectations, please ask to speak to the clinical supervisor or charge nurse.
