Contests/Special layout of the Tournament
This year the tournament will have a unique layout including several contests: Hole-in-One, Men's & Women's Longest Drive, Circle Shot, Closest to the Pin, Putting Contest and Driving Marshmallows. All of this while enjoying great food and beverages on several holes.
Rules of Play
Ridgecrest Golf Course is a spikeless course.
U.S.G.A. rules will govern play except for rules listed on the score card.
Tournament format will be four player scramble. After teeing off, the team will select the drive it prefers to keep in play. The other three team member will pick up and place their balls at the position of the drive selected, and all four players will play their second shots from that spot. The same procedure will follow on each shot until the hole is completed, including the putts. On the putting surface, pick the ball you wish to putt on the green and putt in any order you prefer as a team. If a putt is holed out, and by force of habit tap the next putt into the hole, the remaining players shall not putt as the hole is considered completed. In other words, when a putt is missed, mark the ball until your partners have had a chance to putt.
Handicap for Teams
All handicaps will be determined by the committee and posted on the scoreboard and, if possible, on your score cards. Prizes will be awarded by gross and net scores.
This year the tournament will benefit the new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Birkeland Maternity Center.
