Requirements: Individual with a doctor of medicine (MD) or a doctor of osteopathy (DO) degree (MD/DO); successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine residency program; current, unrestricted full license in Idaho and Oregon to practice medicine in all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho and Oregon Boards of Pharmacy and DEA; board certification through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment).
Work Schedule: Traditional clinic work week, Monday through Friday; no less than 34 hours of scheduled patient contact time. Schedule to consist of 4 to 4 ½ days in clinic.
Call: Practice call shared with other eligible members in the SARMC Department of Family Medicine (Currently 1:13). Adult inpatient coverage provided by the SARMC hospitalist service. Newborn and pediatric inpatient call is required however very low volume

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 325+ provider multispecialty group practice that has an excellent opportunity for a Family Practitioner (MD/DO) to join a robust clinic-based practice and work full-time at its Emerald clinic. Saint Alphonsus Medical Group – Emerald is dedicated to providing services for a full spectrum of family practice patients. The expanding multispecialty medical group (SAMG) employs family medicine, occupational medicine and urgent care providers at this clinic location however, the new provider will only be working in the family medicine clinic. Further, SAMG-Emerald is conveniently located in close proximity to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.
The selected physician will practice full-spectrum family medicine with the option to practice perinatal care and will have the opportunity to perform numerous procedures. However, endoscopic procedures are not part of the scope of practice for this position as these services are delivered by a Saint Alphonsus Health Alliance (SAHA) partner, Boise Digestive Health. There is an onsite x-ray and laboratory.

As a member of the medical group, you will also need to obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health System’s family medicine program across all communities we serve.
