Opportunity Highlights
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group – Emerald (SAMG-Emerald) has an excellent opportunity for a board certified or board eligible family medicine physician to join a robust clinic-based practice. The growing multi-specialty medical group employs family medicine, occupational medicine and urgent care providers. SAMG-Emerald is conveniently located in close proximity to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.
The selected physician will practice full-spectrum family medicine with or without OB and will have the opportunity to perform numerous procedures. The clinic serves a diverse population including some refugees and the underserved. The physician will have privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, and will be licensed in Idaho and Oregon to maintain and strengthen the health system’s family medicine program across all communities we serve.
We greatly value the input and leadership of our physicians and encourage each physician to actively participate in department meetings, SAMG leadership council and in matters of practice/service line development. The physician must demonstrate a commitment to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care and work cooperatively with associates and other providers. The physician must also be willing to oversee and supervise physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right family medicine physician to join a growing team of physicians and be part of the Saint Alphonsus Health System and Saint Alphonsus Medical Group.

Community Description
The Boise Metropolitan Area, also known as the Treasure Valley officially consists of five counties in Southwestern Idaho, anchored by the cities of Boise and Nampa. With a population of more than 600,000, the region is a commercial center in the Northwest, an outdoor enthusiast's paradise and a flourishing scene for arts and entertainment. The Treasure Valley offers a reasonable cost of living, low crime rate, excellent cultural programs, numerous neighborhood parks and nearby national forests and rivers.
Several high-profile publications rank the area as one of the best places in the country to do business and live. Outside Magazine recently said, “The winner for best overall town in the western U.S. is Boise, Idaho.” Forbes Magazine and the Brookings Institute are also highly complimentary. CNN-Money recently named Idaho as the friendliest state for small businesses, and Idaho's low cost of living and culture of physician independence make it the best place in America to be a practicing physician for the second straight year.
